Toronto hosts plenty of sport events, but only one racquet sports event in Toronto covers every major sport in the category on the same weekend. RacquetsUp Expo 2027 brings tennis, table tennis, pickleball, padel, squash, and badminton together at the Enercare Centre this February, with 10 live courts running side by side.
This guide breaks down what each of the six sports looks like at the expo, plus the practical details: dates, pricing, and how to save on tickets. Pong Home has also published sport specific guides for pickleball, tennis, and the table tennis partnership, if you want to go deeper on a specific sport.
One racquet sports event, six sports
Most sport events in Toronto pick one discipline and stay there. RacquetsUp Expo takes the opposite approach. Over three days, it runs 10 live courts across all six major racquet sports at the same time, in the same building, so players and spectators can move between courts without leaving the venue.
Tennis
Live courts, racquet demos, and stringing consultations for players at every level.
Table Tennis
Blade and rubber demos, live matches, and a mini tournament, presented with Pong Home.
Pickleball
Live courts with paddle demos and open play for one of the fastest growing sports in the city.
Padel
A newer sport in Toronto that blends tennis and squash, with demo courts to try the format.
Squash
Live exhibition matches and demos on enclosed courts for one of the city's longest running club sports.
Badminton
Live courts, racquet and shuttle demos, and open play alongside the rest of the show floor.
Why Toronto needed a racquet sports event like this
Each of these six sports already has its own community in Toronto. Tennis has the National Bank Open and a century-old private club scene. Table tennis has a fast growing base of players and coaches. Pickleball has exploded across city parks and community centres. Padel is newer but growing quickly, following the same pattern seen in Europe and parts of the United States. Squash has deep roots in the city's private club culture. Badminton has one of the most established club circuits in the GTA.
What none of these communities had, until now, was a single sport event in Toronto that put them all on the same floor. That matters because racquet sports overlap more than players often realize. A tennis player who tries table tennis, or a badminton player who tries pickleball, often finds the transition easier than expected, since the underlying skills, footwork, timing, and touch, carry over between sports.
What to expect at each sport's station
Every sport at RacquetsUp Expo 2027 follows a similar format: live courts for demos and open play, vendor booths where you can test gear before buying, and coaching content for players looking to improve. The details vary slightly by sport.
- Tennis and pickleball get the most court space, reflecting how many players in Toronto already play regularly, with racquet and paddle demos running most of the day.
- Table tennis includes a mini tournament that players can register for on site, in addition to open demos and live matches.
- Padel and squash run on enclosed demo courts, which makes them some of the best sports to simply watch if you have never seen either played live.
- Badminton runs open play blocks alongside its own demo schedule, similar in format to the pickleball and tennis stations.

A sport event in Toronto worth planning your weekend around
Whether you play one of these six sports regularly or none of them yet, RacquetsUp Expo 2027 gives you a low pressure way to try something new without booking a court or buying gear first. Add in a full Junior Racquets Discovery program for kids ages 5 to 17, and it becomes one of the more complete weekend events in Toronto this winter for players of any age or skill level.
Pong Home will keep tracking updates as they are announced, and our table tennis coaches, clubs, and gear listings remain available if the expo leaves you wanting to take that sport further after the weekend ends.
